KD Physiotherapy is a small family-run business and our resident physiotherapists in Drayton, Portsmouth offers expert care for patients of all ages. Owned and managed by Kevin Dunleavy, a highly experienced physiotherapist with 39 years of expertise in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal injuries, our clinic specialises in relieving pain, restoring mobility, and improving function.
With a background in the Royal Navy and extensive experience in outpatient care and rehabilitation, Kevin utilises a range of hands-on techniques such as trigger therapy, acupressure, mobilisations, manipulation, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue massage, and electrotherapy at our physiotherapy and sports injury clinic.
During his tenure in the Navy, Kevin served as head of physiotherapy at the Royal Marines training camp and provided care aboard HMS Invincible. He was also the pioneering physiotherapist for Devon and Cornwall Police and served at Parkhurst and Albany prisons on the Isle of Wight. For the past 19 years, Kevin has been dedicated to private practice, delivering exceptional care to our community.

Kevin Dunleavy has more than 40 years of experience, including over 20 years of service in the Royal Navy, particularly at the Royal Hospital Haslar. His expertise includes a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to back and neck pain, whiplash, sports injuries, and work-related problems or accidents. Kevin employs a diverse range of treatment techniques, such as manipulation, soft tissue release through massage, and the application of electrotherapy.
